How the text diff works
You paste two versions of the same text. The tool splits them into lines, finds what stayed and marks the rest: green for added, red for removed, yellow for a rewritten line. You can ignore letter case or spaces at the ends of lines.
The result stays in the browser. Use it for emails, website copy, translation files or short patches before you put them in git or send them to someone.
Lines
What changed
See immediately which line disappeared, which line is new and which line was rewritten.
Words
In-line highlight
On rewritten lines, the different words are marked, not just the whole line.
Export
Unified diff
Copy a classic +/- format to paste into a ticket or a commit.
Important:
This comparator works on text, not binary files. For Metin2 lists with VNUMs use the Metin comparator — that one compares keys, not prose.
Useful notes
- “Ignore spaces” only trims the ends of lines. Spaces in the middle of a sentence stay visible.
- Very long texts (thousands of lines) are harder to compare in the browser. Split them into chapters.
- The copied diff uses the unified format, easy to read outside this page.
- Nothing is saved on the server. If you reload the page, both boxes are cleared.
- For raw HTML, the comparator treats markup as text. It does not render the page.
