How this recommendation letter tool works

Fill in who you are, who you recommend and how you worked together. The A4 preview updates as you type, so the letter stays on one page.

Use an example if you want a starting draft, then replace the names and proof with your own. Print or save PDF from the browser dialog. Choose A4 and turn off headers if the browser adds them.

Write One proof, not empty praise

Say how you know them, what they did and why they can be trusted.

Check See it on A4

The preview is a real page. If it overflows, shorten a paragraph.

Send Copy or PDF

Copy the text for email or print the page as PDF.

Note: Only recommend someone you know well enough. A generic letter helps less than a short true one.

Useful notes

  •   The first sentence says who they are, what role they had and how you know them.
  •   One concrete proof beats three adjectives.
  •   If you cannot give an example, it is better to decline the request.
  •   Close with a clear recommendation and an offer to talk.
  •   Your draft stays in this browser until you clear it.
